  • Have you commited the content? You may also pull up your route in CMP in 2006, then right mouse button click on the listing (or icon) and choose "save to CDP". Then open 2009 and choose "file"/ "Import CDP" and navigate to the CDP. Yous may still ahev to commit the content in 2009.

How to use Topo Maps in Trainz by colorado71 A. USING OF GLOBAL MAPPER 1. Configuration of Global Mapper Install Global Mapper on your computer. Download custom_shaders rar from http://trainz.uv.ro/tutorial/files/custom_shaders.rar Unpack the archive and copy the file custom_shaders.txt in the installation folder of Global Mapper. Run Global Mapper and select the option spectrum_trainz from "shader" bar on the program's tool bar. 2. Georeference your topo map Select the map (scanned map, satellite image, topo map etc.) you want to reproduce in trainz. You must know the geographical coordinates (latitude and longitude) of two points on it, so you can georeference it with Global Mapper. From the File Menu of Global Mapper select "Rectify (Georeference) Imagery" click OK and select your image. Open it and the dialog box "Image Rectifier" will appear. Zoom the image over the first point of which coordinates you know, select it, insert its latitudinal and longitudinal position as __/__/___ (for example 21/38/45) and press "add GCP to list." Proceed in the same manner with the second point. Save the image as GeoTIFF. 3. Select your future trainz map a) Open the map thus created with GlobalMapper. From the File Menu select "Export Raster and Elevation Data" - "Export GeoTIFF." In the dialog box which appear select "Export Bounds" and press "Draw a Box." Select the area of your future trainz map and save it as GeoTIFF. b) From the File Menu select "Download Online Imagery/Topo/Terrain Maps" (or simple open the DEM map for the area of your image map). Select the server from which you want to download the digital elevation map (http://seamless.usgs.gov/ or http://srtm.csi.cgiar.org/ for example) and then press OK. From the File Menu select "Export Raster and Elevation Data" - "Export DEM," then select "Export Bounds" in the dialog box, and finally, press "Reset to Last Exported Bounds." B. USING OF MICRODEM 1.

DLS problems please help - Trainz Discussion Forums - 0 views

This is because you don't have a 'high enough' version of Trainz. For instance : If you got 2006 and try to download a TC asset, it will show up in a pink bar.

Built-in Assets Removal - Trainz Discussion Forums - 0 views

  •
Hi, Thanks for reply. I,ve managed to do what I wanted after reading another thread. This was the procedure I did. Opened up CMP - disabled the built-in asset I wanted to get rid of - then opened that asset for editing. Opened up Windows Explorer - found the open asset in the 2006 editing file - cut and pasted the asset folder to My Documents and then deleted the folder. (It does not work if you try and delete the folder directly from the editing file) Re-0pened CMP and then started up trainz from CMP. Loaded up the route - every instance of that asset will have disappeared - then click "Delete Missing Assets" and save. Tidy up CMP by using the "revert" option on the asset. Is there an easier way of doing this??? Regards, John (My apologies to the member who give me this idea. I cannot 'refind' the thread to give you acknowledgement.)

Tutorial on moving custom assets to 2009 - Trainz Discussion Forums - 0 views

  • Hi Bob The title of that post is A simple Tutorial--Gmax to Trains I got to thinking a little more about your question. The link above is to my tutorial is the process I used to get an asset just created from Gmax into TRS2009 or TRS2006. There are some parts of that tutorial that would definitely help you but even that tutorial would be more than what you need to do. I'm not sure TRS2004 as it (in my understanding) does not have a content manager in it.( I might be wrong I haven't done anything with TRS2004.) But with 2006 you Use your CMP to locate your assets. Right click on each one of them and click save as CDP from the drop down menue. You take the all the cdp's that you've created and put them all in a folder that you know what the location of it is. Close 2006 Cmp and open Cmp2 in TRS2009. Go to file/import/and location of your cdp files/ and press enter on your keyboard and CMP2 will go to that folder and automatically install each and every asset that you made into a CDP into TRS2009. The key to TRS 2004 content I think is to figure out how to get those assets in CDP format.

Tips and Tricks-Surveyor - Trainz Discussion Forums - 0 views

  • Here is a tip for moving Track marks. If you want to move track marks beyond spline points, use the move function for track objects (i.e. signals etc.) it works on track marks of all kinds. cheers, andyz
  • In the above image, you can see the result. The fill under the two tracks in the backgound is part of the track and was not added after the fact. It bridges the dip in the ground very nicely. Search for "1t spoordijk grind MRT" or 70337:38035 to try it

Anyway around this issue??? - Trainz Discussion Forums - 0 views

  • Yes What I do and it actually works!! is open up the 2006 CMP manually it then downloads from the DLS to that version. I found that to download to CMP2 in 2009 again you also had to open the CMP2 manually first. PS you can close it and it will still default to the one you had open last including TC3 if you open it. Hope this helps Ron
  • See my thread " A tip from me. Transfering content ;-)" or whatever its called. Basically, the same thing applies here. Just make sure you know the name of the things you download, so you can find them. __________________ http://www.urbantrainzrailroad.webs.com/

Operate turntables - Trainz Discussion Forums - 0 views

  • Yes, there is one on the DLS. I have used it with 2004 and 2006, but have not yet tried ot with 2009. I do not forsee any problems though, as all driver commands I have tried so far in 2009, and I use a lot of them, work just fine. It is called "Move Turntable", and the kuid is: KUID2: 131986:180156:1
  • The kuid is on the DLS make sure you select all versions. You will also need the Input table KUID:131986:1012. Name your turntable and enter the information into the input table as turntable, name,? The ? being the number of movements the turntable you are using can move befoer it gets back to its start position.
