Financial markets -- free online course from Yale in 28 (?) segments. Includes a final at the end.

National Science Foundation's online library of resources and collections for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education and research. A digital library is a coherent, organized collection of resources, usually accessible via the Internet. A digital library may appear to be a single entity, but often links to other libraries or information services in an effort to present a unified view of a topic or collection to the end user. Despite the strong connotation with printed resources that the term library carries, digital libraries usual contain far more than electronic versions of textual documents, and can include any type of information that is "born digital" or can be converted into an electronic format.

This site has information for program providers and end users. Thsi is a great place to get topic ideas or to find out what is available right now. There is a listserve

Protagonize is a community that writes collaborative interactive fiction. One person starts the story, and others post chapters to the story that lead it in different direction. In the end it becomes an evolving story in which everyone can participate.

Cover It Live is a Web-based program that allows educators to have live discussions-or chats- online for free. Many education bloggers have found the site useful because it allows them to embed discussion threads directly into a personal Web space. Rather than having to rely on a static comment thread for reader feedback, Cover It live adds a real-time element to blogging discussions. The online interface includes features that allow users to upload and share multimedia files, including videos, photos, Web links, and group polling data. An added featue lets Twitter users access the conversation and conribute "tweets," or short comments, that they've posted on the microblogging site Twitter. Late participants can also instantly replay a conversation after it has ended. To set up a conversation, a group moderator must register and create the forum space; then anyone can join without having to register for the service.

Veritasium is a science video blog which aims to present topics in all areas of science from the simplest to the most complex. The goal is to make scientific ideas clear, accessible, and interesting. Veritas is Latin for truth, and the ending 'ium' makes it into an element - the element of truth.
