Google Scholar helps you find relevant work across the world of scholarly research.

Create and publish online surveys in minutes, and view results graphically and in real time. SurveyMonkey provides free online questionnaire and survey software to collaborate with students or colleagues.

BrainPop offers a variety of activities for students to work together in pairs or groups on any device. To implement critical thinking in a lesson, teachers can use games, concept mapping, videos, and quizzes. One of the many aspects of Brainpop is that it provides resources for any subject, grade, or skill level. The educator section for teachers offers activities and lesson plan ideas that align with Common Core, national, and state standards. During the various episodes of the game, students use their problem-solving skills to assess issues and find solutions for each challenge. In the classroom and at home, students use Popplet for learning. Used as a mind-map, Popplet helps students think and learn visually. Students can capture facts, thoughts, and images and learn to create relationships between them.

The Google Suite of applications provides a unified platform for collaboration amongst students, colleagues, and leaders or teachers. The open and secure products provide a robust suite of tools that includes Hangout Chat/Video; Google+ Networking; Website Management, and centralized document management for collaborative management, Google Slides, Forms, Docs, Presentation, and Spreadsheets.

ShowMe is an open online learning community where anyone can learn and teach any topic. The app features an interactive whiteboard where students can write, import pictures, and draw while explaining their slide simultaneously. Teachers can create groups and post assignments for students to post completed ShowMe's.

As an educator, you can create your own digital classroom where you can post updates and announcements. One feature that I see very helpful for a teacher is the ability to upload documents to share with families. This would be so helpful for sign ups, permission slips, and even long term assignments.It would definitely make sure that important information isn't lost in a locker or at the bottom of a bookbag.

Viber is a free application that allows you send texts and make calls to your students and their parents and encourages students to communicate and coordinate their school work. For example, when working on group assignments, students can create their own group to decide on team roles, plan their work, and arrange any meeting times. In addition, teachers can create a class or parent group to send out notices, remind students about deadlines, and share information.
