For a week in the spring of 2012, CBC-TV's Connect with Mark Kelley set up a video booth in a school in Gatineau, Que. More than 150 students streamed into the booth to pour out their personal anecdotes about bullying.

B.C. teachers have given 72-hour strike notice for Sept. 6 - the first day of school. Forty-one thousand teachers will abandon administrative duties like filling out report cards, supervising playgrounds or meeting with principals - unless an agreement is reached with the province.

A federal task force is calling for financial literacy to be taught as part of the regular school curriculum throughout Canada. The task force said Wednesday having such an important subject ignored in many schools is no longer acceptable.
