Nominated as "Best Educational Wiki," in 2008 and 2009, Educational Origami is a blog , and a wiki, about the integration of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) into the classroom. It's about 21st Century Learning and 21st Century Teaching. This collection includes the connection of ICT with Bloom's Taxonomy, learning styles, integration, management, and dealing with complex change. The site also houses many resources for teachers to equip them to become "Digital Natives."
My school is currently transitioning into a more technologically savvy community. We're not only updating our software, but also our mission statement. We've recognize that students in our classes move at different paces, but we haven't been able to keep up or slow down for enough of them simultaneously - technology is a way to help do that and that's what we aim to do next year.
Here are a few examples of what we plan to incorporate in our classrooms.
Lubango - The provincial department of Education, Science and Technology of Huíla Province, begins this school term with teaching the Umbundu and Nganguela vernacular languages in primary and secondary schools of Huíla Province, in order to allow
children to improve learning, spirit of self-confidence and feeling of cultural integration.
This book integrates research, action research, best practice and case studies detailing how some educators have embraced the opportunities afforded by mobile learning. In particular, it brings together a range of scenarios, solutions and discussions relating to mobile learning in development and other resource challenged contexts.
