I think this is ethical. I agree with Cody, it's like posing as a drug dealer, but instead of catching people who want to buy weed, they are catching people who want to kidnap and rape little children. They found 5000 pedophiles who posted pictures and were in discussions about how to lure a child into your car. By letting that porn site stay up, they found pedophiles that could have harmed many children. In my opinion it was smart and helped stop sickos from stealing and raping kids.

This is so sad. I love love love Amanda Bynes. It's terrifying to see how crazy she has gotten. I recently read a list of all of her tweets and they are disturbing. The tweets talk about her sexual desire for the singer Drake, her drug usage, and there are many pictures of her topless. She has gone of the deep end which is so sad because she was such a great and funny actress. I think the reason she has gone crazy, and why so many child stars go crazy, is because they aren't taught morals and are never said no to. They go to parties and people offer them drugs or don't say no when they ask. It's just sad. It also just goes to show how detrimental drugs are. The crazy child stars are always on drugs.

Rich Manhattan moms hire handicapped tour guides so kids can cut lines at Disney World - 26 views

This is disgusting. These mothers know no boundaries. Spoiling their kids is one issue but I know for a fact that if it isn't spoiling them in this way, they'd spoil them in another way. My real issue with this is the complete lack of respect for people the mother is teaching her children. These moms show their kids that it's ok to cut all of the other people in line and that they are better than them, they show their kids that they can exploit the disabled so they can do whatever they want, and they show their kids that it's ok to lie. These are the true issues. There are so many spoiled kids, but some of the kids who get spoiled still turn out to be great people. For example the princes of England grew up with whatever they wanted, yet they still turned out to be great people, all because they were taught morals. These families that are using the disabled people to get ahead are not being taught morals.

I couldn't help thinking though that if I were disabled this would be a great way to make a pretty penny. Just ride rides and get money.

Iowa supreme court: ok to fire irresistible worker - 2 views

This is ridiculous. The article was linked to in the article about girls dressing for school, and it's the same issue. It is NOT up to women to dress for men try not to distract them, that is incredibly stupid. This women should have never been fired. Because she is pretty and her boss is worried about his family is not reason to fire her, neither of those issues have anything to do with work and therefore they should be reasons to fire her. To be fired one has to have done something wrk related- not show up looking irresistible to a coworker or boss. And besides, everyone has their own tastes. What if that woman was only attractive to her boss? She shouldn't be fired for being attractive to one person. If that's what Iowa sees as fair, then everyone will soon be out of a job due to different tastes and perceptions of beautiful.

The message that women should not distract men with their clothing is ridiculous. If it really is distracting, we should tell me not to be distracted, let them be accountable for their own actions. It's similar to rape culture- people tell women not to be raped (ie don't wear skimpy clothing) but not nearly as many people tell men not to rape. Girls should be allowed to wear what they want, it shouldn't be up to them to try to control how much desire people feel. It's sexist. I do agree however that women should know boundaries. The author said something along the lines of girls shouldn't wear clothes they'd wear to a concert to school, and I agree, girls should dress for the occasion.

It's obvious that the father is only pressing charges because she is a girl. It's terrifying to think this poor girl could have this follow her for the rest of her life and could be forced to register as a sex offender. I do think that 18 and 14 is a pretty big age gap no matter what genders the teenagers are, but it's obvious that the real issue is that these girls are lesbian, not that they are so different in age. I hope that the petition will help and the the judge will listen. It's so sad that prejudiced people can affect someone's lifelike this just because they have narrow-minded views.

It's not CNN who said it's a threat, it was a quote. Most of the things that seem extreme were said by director-general of the United Nations' World Health Organization. This is scary and if the United Nations is nervous then maybe we should be too. The news should tell us what is happening, not rile us up or try to calm us down. Unfortunately many news sites do try to freak us out.

This was such a surreal thing to read. It was incredible that some people didn't see a problem with it. They tried to say it was a tradition, but so was segregation. Not all traditions are supposed to stay. The problem that I found was that it wasn't because white people and African Americans liked different music, or whatever that one guy said, but that African Americans WEREN'T invited! That's not tradition, that's racism.

I'm just confused as to what this article is supposed to be. It is half a profile on this guy and half a warning to the public that he is somewhat a menace. His whole thing sounds a little creepy to me. Simply holding a sign up to people that says "Free Hugs" is fine, but approaching girls and offering is another thing. By the end of this article I was creeped out, but I don't know if that was even the point of the article.

This is so funny. I don't even know what to think. It would be terrifying if it were a murder, but it is interesting to think about technology being able to find these types of things. People are going to stop being able to get away with a lot of things, which is good now but could be bad if we had a dictatorship (1984 etc). But if it is a murder, broad daylight really is a poor choice.

Guns in Class for Teachers - 71 views

The article mentions that kids in South Dakota know and respect guns but there is a chance that a few don't. But even more frightening is the possibility of teachers who don't know and/or respect guns, or wildly angry teahcers who snap. This is not a common thing but there is always a possibility. Studies have shown that gun violence in areas significantly decreases when guns are not present at all, not when everyone has guns and knows abouty them. Students should not have gun, teachers should not have guns, no one should have guns. They are just so unsafe.

TAs Cheat at Redwood - 81 views

This was very interesting but I really have to wonder about how many TAs really do this. Could this be like our Craiglist article? A few students doing it? Maybe the anecdotes, while there are many, are about the same few kids. But who knows? Maybe Redwood really is that crazy. What I got from the article was that many of the TAs do it, where it's most likely only a few of them.
