In order to have power do we need to be rich? Also how important is charity to a country?

I always found it funny that Tam doesn't really care about football, homecoming, rally's, yearbooks, or other things like that but everyone becomes your typical American high school come prom. Girls seem to certianlly get the short end of the stick for prom in the conventinal way of things. We in Marin are very wealthy and like most wealthy people like to flaunt it at times. What better way to do it then invite a large group of people to your home to take pictures of your 'gorgeous view', eat at a fancy restaurant, go to a dance which coast around 100 dollars, and have a alcohol infused after party. All of this will ad up and for some people it doesn't mean anything its just normal. As apposed to looking at this as a gender issue it is one that is more of class. I feel more people will go to prom with a date that can provide a pimped out 16 wheeled chrome hummer limo than someone who drives in. While guys generally spend less it is all expensive and a tool to show off your class and power.

Breaking Bad is without a doubt one of the most complex TV shows ever made as well as the story itself. While watching this show I never really sided with Walt nor Skyler because of how horrible they both of them were. Walt was a drug dealer who was reasonable for the death of over 15 people as well as his brother in law who seemed to also be his best friend. Skyler was a pretty terrible person as well because she cheated on her husband as well as an accessory to his madness. The difference was at the core of there characters. Walt was way more concerned about his family than Skyler ever was. Skyler was way more concerned about herself. I don't think sex plays into this at all like some other TV shows may.

While I am technically an legal adult and it seems childish to demean us by calling me a "boy" I will have to agree with the majority of the posters as this is a non issue. While in Marin we like to think we are all so politically correct we have a lot of areas to improve upon and this one being no exception. While nothing makes me more aggravated than a teacher saying a phrase such as "quite down boys" I've learned you need to pick your battles. I can let this one slide but we really need to reevaluate our dividers on the mens bathroom as well as distance between urinals...

While Tobacco is a drug and needs to be used responsibly and with discretion changing it to 21 will do nothing but create a market for people to supply to minors as well make it more of a "dangerous" thing that kids will want to try like alcohol or marijuana. Brain development stops at 25 so it makes zero sense that you would change it to 21.

As we start deciding where to go to college we may want to think twice about organizations we join. Does the traditional greek system still have racial barriers that will never be broken?

This an accurate way to rate films because if kids are as easily impressionable as I was then these ideas are going to resinate with a 12 year girl that she has to be attached to a man at a young age. Its almost propaganda to brainwash girls that they have to cling to men or think that they are meaningless without on. While it is entirely up to the film maker about what message he or she wants to portray in their films they need to be able to understand that there rating will reflect it as it would in a violent movie. I feel that this needs to be a standard in the American film ratings.

Do you agree with Franco about how society is today? Do you think that this "not the literal MTV-sponsored parties that take over and infect various beach locations across the American continent" or is this just 'high school musical in college'.

I think that this is just capitalism at work. While I don't like the idea of such a large wealth gap on this country especially in our large cities which have seem to become only for the wealthy it is a part of what happens when a population becomes so large. It seems like a meaningless argument/issue that these busses are a problem. If they effect the Muni schedule I could see why there would be a problem with it. But as the article points out these busses will help pay for new Muni stations across San Francisco. These busses have hardly anything to do with economic disparities in San Francisco. Overall no harm has been done and people are paranoid about San Francisco becoming owned by Google or Apple with no grounds too.
