"there is no procedural method to go from data to wisdom... Data does not create information; information does not create knowledge and knowledge does not create wisdom. People use their knowledge to make sense of data and information. People create information that represents their knowledge, which can then be more widely shared."

free software that can be help teachers to design their learning pathways. It seems simple but I get the feeling it would help teachers construct effective learning designs by making it easier to conceptualise what students need to do and what resources are used.

  • the new experience into an already existing framework without changing that framework

      Think this is important
  • views each learner as a unique individual with unique needs and backgrounds. The learner is also seen as complex and multidimensional. Social constructivism not only acknowledges the uniqueness and complexity of the learner, but actually encourages, utilizes and rewards it as an integral part of the learning process (Wertsch 1997).

Blended Learning | Nine Lanterns definition - 0 views

  • As a strategy and as a learning solution, blended is presently better received and more effective than online learning alone. Blended is usually taken to mean a blend or mix of classroom (in-person, face-to-face) and online techniques - where learners spend some of their time learning online; and other time in classrooms. Classroom learning is good for the immediacy it offers, the personal interaction. Alternatively, online learning better supports reflective activities, where learners need to think and act more deeply about content.
  •
What is blended learning? Well, it's exactly what the name supposes - a blend or mix of two or more approaches that can be used to design a learning experience. What is blended learning? Using Photo story in the classroom - Classroom 2.0 - 0 views

Photo story 3 is a lot easier to use than Movie Maker. The only draw back is that you cannot put video clips into it like you can Movie Maker. One of my fourth grade classes created a documentary film on an animal that they had researched.
