Math is a deficit area for most students. This web based program is excellent in motivating students to learn math concepts. It allows students to start at various levels. It provides immediate feedback on responses. Also, it provides a tutorial to explain incorrect responses. Most importantly it allows students to progress at their own individual rate and receive rewards for their success throughout the program. This program can be used at home or school to improve math skills. I thought this program would be beneficial for teachers to use as a class resource for visual learners or as a tool for remediation of specific skills.

PBS Teachers provides PreK-12 educational resources and activities for educators tied to PBS programming and correlated to local and national standards and professional development opportunities delivered online.

This site gives lesson plans and activities you can do with children in the classroom. In addition, it gives educational videos to use in the classroom and helpful articles which will help teachers develop their learning. I like the classes that teachers can take to understand different concepts related to children's learning.

I haven't ever bought this program, but think it is a very interesting concept. When you look at "The Science" link at the top left of the home page, it brings up a section that talks about what a growth mindset school looks like. It matches a lot of our motivations. I always thought this would be interesting to try.
