The Actors Who Played Batman - 0 views

  •
In 1938 Action Comics editors was looking for a new comic book superhero similar to Superman, Bob Kane and Bill Finger got together and created that new superhero, Batman! Well according to Bob Kane he had drawn a picture of what he thought the Caped Crusader should look like, however, Frank Foster has a different story. But alas in 1939 the first Batman comic was published and the rest is 'history'. One major difference between Superman and Batman however is the fact that Superman has super powers which comes from his Kryptonian background while Batman is mortal, a simple human being who depends on his 'awesome gadgets'. In this lens we'll look at who's actually played the Caped Crusader over the years on television and the big screen. The Caped Crusader will always be a work in progress, so check back from time to time to see what might be different or if there's a new Batman in the mist.

A new study published in HealthDay News shows that 120 kids each day are rushed to the emergency room for tub related injuries, children age 4 and under accounting for most of these accidents. This doesn't even take into account the kids with minor injuries that never went to the hospital. Although burns and incidents of drowning or near-drowning are common bathtub accidents, new research shows more than 43,000 kids each year are injured by slipping & falling.

Designer Fashion: Online Sample Sale Sites - 0 views

  •
Here are a few sites I recommend joining for incredible prices on designer jeans, clothing, shoes and accessories. These are online sample sales featuring a series of high-quality fashion brands and big-name designers. Much of the stock is priced at 50% or more off retail, and on some items you can save as much as 85-90%. It's free to sign up, and you are never obligated to buy anything. You do have to pay for shipping, but that's where the merchandise credit comes in handy. You can earn merchandise credit for referring new members. Once one of your referrals makes a purchase, you will earn anywhere from $10 to $25 in credit (depending on the site.) Then you can use your credit to get free shipping... or, if you're really good at recruiting new members, your credit might pay for entire purchases! You can opt out of receiving email alerts if you want. If you love designer fashion and incredible discounts, there's really no reason not to join these sites. Invite codes included for RueLaLa, Gilt Groupe, ideeli, and TheTopSecret.

The Actors Who Played Riddler - 0 views

1948 brought in a new Super Villain for comic book superhero Batman and Robin, Edward Nigma, in the disguise of The Riddler. The Riddler was more of a smooth talker with a quirky nature who was obsessed with sending riddles to Batman and the police before each of his crimes. No matter how hard he tried not to send a riddle, he just couldn't resist it.

Dress Like The Joker for Halloween - 0 views

  •
Here we'll go trick or treating as The Joker. Everyone wants to dress up like Heath Ledger did as the Joker in The Dark Knight but me I prefer Jack Nicholson's version of the Joker, he always seemed more sinister to me. Heath Ledger's version you new what to expect from but Jack Nicholson's Joker was far more sly.

The Actors Who Played The Joker - 0 views

One of comic book superhero Batman's arch nemesis The Joker first appeared in the 1940 comic Batman #1 but he didn't appear on tv until 1966 in the Adam West version of Batman. Bob Kane, Bill Finger and Jerry Robinson were the co-creators of The Joker. However once again Bob Kane has a different story about The Joker's creations. The Joker was drawn to look like a photographer of Conrad Veidt as he was in The Man Who Laughs (1928) and the name came from the playing cards which Finger had brought in one day. The Joker has also gone by many other aliases, The Clown Prince of Crime, Red Hood, Jack, Joseph 'Joe' Kerr, Clem Rusty, Mr. Rekoj, Jack White. Be that as it may, let's have a look here at who's played comic book Supervillain The Joker over the years.Like Batman, The Joker will always be a work in progress, so check back from time to time to see what might be different or if there's a new Joker in the mist.

Haba for Babies & Kids - 0 views

  •
HABA is one of the oldest toymakers from Germany. Founded in 1938, HABA has continued to "stand up for the little guy" by making high quality toys and games for babies and young children. In a world where infant safety is more important than ever before, HABA toys are a great choice that will stand the test of time. These are the toys that are passed down through the generations. More recently, HABA has expanded its award-winning line of wooden toys and traditional games to include children's furniture and unique room decorations. These new offerings are still in line with HABA's core mission, which actually can be seen in their name itself. In German, HABA stands for "high quality products and age appropriate materials." HABA also "stands up for the little guy" by supporting small businesses and partnering with boutique retailers rather than the Big Box stores. Clearly, this toy maker values traditional values, in its toys and also in its relationships. That's why we love HABA!
