To kids, few things are as captivating as an honest-to-goodness fort. They might call it the clubhouse, the hideaway or just a play house. A fort that kids make by hand with stuff they find lying around is just as good as a swanky fort delivered by two men in a big truck. My personal building material of choice was the couch cushions & a couple strategically placed comforters. Luckily now they make inexpensive portable pop up versions...so the cushions can stay on the couch!
