MATH WEBSITES FOR TEACHERS AND STUDENTS - 0 views

  •
This website is a listing of many math websites for teacher and students. Information can be printed or downloaded to your computer. Be sure to follow links to other sites and find your way back with the "Back" button. This list contains links to Thinkquest sites. The Thinkquest library has been available on and off recently so you may need to try more than once. Also, we note where we found broken links in our sampling of links within a site. Teachers will need to replace these links with their own. Keep in mind that online lessons and webquests may appear on more than one site.

This website would be useful when creating a Webquest for students. The math teacher would be able to ask the students to gather data from ten different restaurants on a specific item such as a hamburger to find the restaurant with the hamburger with the fewest calories. It would be a good activity for collecting and organizing data.

Fatburgr gives you nutritional information from your favorite restaurants. A math instructor could easily use this information in a project dealing with nutrition, especially since March is national health month throughout schools, to appeal to the students. Students could gather data after attending the specific restaurant and then put their information into graphical form.

Good free hosting site. Students can use this to create their own webquest. Comes with the easy to use tools. Would be good for students to do at home if appropriate for your student population.
