Despite the online revolution, a total of 8.73m Britons claim to have never used the internet, reports the Office of National Statistics (ONS).The figure is an improvement on last year's total of 9.2m, but was described as "depressing" by Martha Lane Fox, co-founder of Lastminute.com who was named last year as the government's "digital champion".
