This library consists of about 3000 images which we hope will be useful in the teaching of basic vocabulary in a variety of languages. The characters and objects depicted are as culturally neutral as we could make them. This is not a huge resource of graphics; its purpose is to provide a set of those graphics most basic and useful for low-level language-teaching, and at the same time, to make them as easily searchable as possible. The 3000 images consist of 1500 pairs. One member of each pair has a transparent background just big enough to fit the image, the other has a white background 110 by 110 pixels. The National Marine Sanctuaries Media Library is an online vault where a comprehensive collection of select video clips and high-resolution still images from America's underwater treasures are securely stored and available for searchable access and download.

Upload an image to generate a color palette based on the image's primary colors. Useful for quickly grabbing a particular color within an image for inspiration. Would be a useful site for art, for color and toning, color families, etc.

Swiss Trains is an amazing map that shows every train in the Swiss rail network in real-time. You can search the whole network for any train or station and watch in amazement as the train positions are animated in real-time on a map of Switzerland. Place your mouse over any of the moving trains and a pop-up window informs you which train it is, where it is heading, which station it is calling at next and its current speed. Click on a moving train and a timetable for that train appears. The timetable includes an option to 'follow' the train. If you choose this option the map changes to a satellite view and zooms in on your chosen train. You can now follow the moving train from a 'a bird's eye view'.
