Worldmapper is a collection of world maps, where territories are re-sized on each map according to the subject of interest.
There are now nearly 600 maps. Maps 1-366 are also available as PDF posters.
Wordle is a toy for generating "word clouds" from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.
Multimedia search tool. Interesting but it may not be totally safe for classroom use. Would be interesting to use with an IWB because of the multimedia experience.
Using the Hohli Online Charts Builder you can create bar graphs, line graphs, pie charts, Venn diagrams, scatter plots, and radar charts. To use create your chart first select the type and size of display that you desire. Then fill in the corresponding form with the information that you want displayed. Your chart will be generated as you enter information so that you can see how each piece of information influences the chart. When you're satisfied with your chart just click on it to save it to your computer or to grab the embed code to use on your blog or website.

The most interesting feature of this experiment is the ability to refine your search by eliminating tags. When you click on a tag, flickr returns that tag's list of related tags. Findr then compares that list with the previous list(s) of tags and displays the intersection. So, instead of forgetting about previous searches, findr allows you to drill down within a tag set.
Exploratree is a free web resource where you can access a library of ready-made interactive thinking guides, print them, edit them or make your own. You can share them and work on them in groups too.
