Samsung un32eh5000 as monitor xintensex : Thinking about getting this LEDTV Samsung un32eh5000 and use as monitor? Does anybody have this TV? Would it make a good monitor for gaming? i wanted something a little bigger than 27" Thx pwnmachine : Well there are a few downsides to using a TV as a computer monitor. - Significantly lower response times (typically 8ms) - Image ghosting/Burn-in - Bulky - Often inaccurate colors - Even though it may be 1080p that will not give you the clarity of a dedicated PC monitor. For me the dealbreaker is the high response time. Especially if its used for gaming that can be a huge downside... TV's are great for viewing from longer distances but are not really made to be viewed up close. You will see fuzziness and static on screen which can be a PITA, If I were you I would try to snag a cheap 27inch monitor on Black Friday.

I am very happy with un32eh5000. The picture is excellent, it has the inputs/outputs I wanted. Movies look great, bright colorful scenes are almost painful to look at (I had the brightness set too high). Overall set up was easy. I plugged my laptop into the tv via an hdmi cable and it looked great and was very easy to calibrate the size of the window. The speakers sound better than I thought they would, I think I will actually use them in addition to my stereo speakers. The tv itself is a nice design, the front is very seamless, giving it a smaller impact on the living room. I also really like how it is uses LED backlighting, which uses less energy and is much less toxic than ccfl backlit tvs. This was the only tv in this price range that I could find that used LED backlighting and also had good reviews on picture quality. I just wish they made a 37 inch version, I would have paid more for it.
