Les résultats d'une étude menée sur des coopératives de travailleurs britanniques menée pour Cooperatives UK montrent les résultats suivants : elles se portent en général bien financièrement, donnent du pouvoir aux travailleurs, sont productives, offrent une bonne sécurité de l'emploi. Par ailleurs, elles sont souvent de plus grande taille que les entreprises classiques, elles sont résilientes et investissent beaucoup.
