The Tree of Life Web Project (ToL) is a collaborative effort of biologists and nature enthusiasts from around the world. On more than 10,000 World Wide Web pages, the project provides information about biodiversity, the characteristics of different groups of organisms, and their evolutionary history (phylogeny).

On top of our platform we have developed new sophisticated statistical models and machine learning algorithms for a wide range of applications including product targeting, market segmentation, community detection, network security, text analysis, and computer vision. These models enable our customers extract more value from their data and better understand and respond to a rapidly evolving world.

The Global Network Navigator (GNN), an Internet-based Information Center, is a production of O'Reilly & Associates, Inc. and an application of the World Wide Web.

"SocioPatterns is an interdisciplinary research collaboration formed in 2008 that adopts a data-driven methodology to study social dynamics and human activity. Since 2008, we have collected longitudinal data on the physical proximity and face-to-face contacts of individuals in numerous real-world environments, covering widely varying contexts across several countries: schools, museums, hospitals, etc. We use the data to study human behaviour and to develop agent-based models for the transmission of infectious diseases."
