This is a blog that describes a 101 ways to bring technology into the classroom. It has a lot of good ideas, sites and links that will help students be more active in the classroom while using technology.

Hayley Carney's Website of the Day PBS Teachers has tons of tools for teachers. The "Classroom Resources" tab has everything organized by grade then into subject area. The "Professional Development" tab has many tools for learning how to incorporate ideas into your classroom. There is even a Discussion forum! I will be presenting this website Wednesday, February 6 (tomorrow) during class!

In February, 1997, Susan Brooks and Bill Byles began a collaborative effort to extend assistance to fellow teachers. In November of 2000 that project expanded to a web presence known as Internet 4 Classrooms ("i4c"), a free web portal designed to assist anyone who wants to find high-quality, free Internet resources to use in classroom instruction, developing project ideas, reinforcing specific subject matter areas both in the class and at home and even for online technology tutorials. The portal is used by teachers, parents and students of all ages on six of the seven continents (there are not many classrooms in Antarctica) and is available to anyone with an Internet connection. We do not charge a subscription fee.

Interactive learning Sites for the Classroom is a great web site that integrates instructional technology to really promote higher learning in classrooms. It is a site that children will enjoy playing as well as learning in any subject area. It creates a wonderful dynamic of hands on experience as well as betters a child's problem solving skills. It has all sorts of different games in a variety of subject areas from math, science, art, language arts, and so on. It even has teacher tools to help educators create things like word search puzzles for their class in only a few simple steps.

This website has a ton of videos and audios to help students learn. They even have sample documents you can download to use in either your classroom or for the students to access to study.

This is a good website that helps educators connect. There are podcasts available to to anyone, especially educators, who have posted things they have found to be helpful in the classroom. I feel that podcasts could be an interesting way to introduce a lesson such as multiplication for elementary age students.

Teacher Tube's site has a variety of videos to educate teachers and students on a diverse assortment of concepts and subject areas.

Communicate Better To Home. HomeworkNOW.com makes it possible for schools to communicate with parents and students via the web, iPhone, iPad, Android apps, email, mobile text messaging, Facebook, Twitter, RSS Feeds and more! Administrators use HomeworkNOW.com to easily communicate school announcements, alerts, and schoolwide notices. Although homework now.com is not necessarily free to use, it is something that is available to either the whole school or just you as a teacher and your classroom, and it is not very expensive. It is a site that I believe could be very helpful and useful to parents, teachers and students even though you must invest a little bit of money into it and as a teacher some time into it. It is an easy way to communicate with parents and students at home which something I like very much and it keeps the parents informed on any assignments/tests that may be coming up!

ClassDojo is a classroom tool that helps teachers improve behavior in their classrooms quickly and easily. It also captures and generates data on behavior that teachers can share with parents and administrators. This site helps teachers track and reward students who are demonstrating desired behaviors, participation and performance levels in the class without actually assigning grades and penalizing those who are producing less desirable outcomes.

SchoolNotes provides teachers with a virtual environment, giving the ability to post classroom or school oriented information. This information is accessible anywhere there is an internet connection giving both parents and students the opportunity to keep in touch with what is happening in the classroom.

Schoology allows instructors, students and administrators to create a meaningful virtual classroom and extend learning beyond the boundaries of the physical classroom

CourseCracker.com has the goal of utilizing web technology to advance learning and communication in schools. The features provided by CourseCracker benefit parents, students, teachers, and youth education as a whole. Particularly at the K-8 level, schools and educators have yet to properly utilize the power of web technology to enhance and evolve education and the classroom experience. This website is free and my be used by any teacher to communicate with students who are out for a day or long extended periods.

Technology has become integrated in the classroom in so many ways, that we often don't even think about how we are using it. This website offers a variety of tools that will allow students to become more interactive with what they are learning. This website has lots of fun and cool games that students, parents, and teachers can enjoy because the students will learn while they play. These tools include the Web, PowerPoint, Excel, digital photography, SMART Boards, and more.

This website allows teachers, parents, administrators, etc to fully understand what assistive technology is and how it can be used within the classroom.

This site helps teachers to menage the classroom, gives so many ideas to keep students stay exited, and also teachers can analyze assessment data and make decision for next step.

This website provides teacher with tutorials on how to use Google spreadsheets and also a tutorial on everything teachers need to know about Google spreadsheets. TIT is completely free and does not require a membership.This website also has many other helpful links that can be used for teachers of any subject and any grade level.

Candidates integrate instructional technology to facilitate learning in their classrooms, to supplement instructional strategies, to design instructional materials, and to enhance hands-on experiences and problem solving.

This is a great link to ways on using smart boards in the classroom. Besides the direct link, this website offers a wide variety of advice, help, and ideas for teaching!
