Google's created a series of lessons to help you guide your students to use search meaningfully in their schoolwork and beyond. Search Literacy lessons are broken down based on level of expertise in search: Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced.

I've used some of these with my year 7's, they were very engaged with the activities and had some excellent discussions afterwards.

I follow lots of Tedtalks in my podcast feeds, but every now and then I visit the education specific website to browse for talks on topics that may help introduce or complete a unit with my grades.

This site has some interesting ideas about 'flipping'. I wonder if anyone has used this with students yet?

This provides two things: a step-by-step guide to making interactive images in ThingLink and also a nice presentation tool/source of Hot to lessons, in SnapGuide.

Jeff Utecht's blog entry about a novel way to teach students search skills. Give students and start and end point. Eg. 3rd Grade - give students: Rocks and Volcanoes. Start with Rocks and create a search story that gets them to end the search story with how Rocks and Volcanoes are related.
