Have just added this to my library website very efficient skills delivery for students and staff who have a little time on their hands.

I've used some of these with my year 7's, they were very engaged with the activities and had some excellent discussions afterwards.

A good way to share this type of information with students is via infographics. Complete a search for [infographic google search] and you will find a gold mine of information.

Fantastic short course which will introduce you to some of the advanced search techniques available using Google. Some you will be familiar with, others you may have forgotten and some will be completely new. The course is not currently open but all the course material is still available at this site.

This YouTube channel has an abundant choice of resources for the VCE student. It was established by a young man who felt there was a need to provide current and relevant information about research skills, study techniques, a guide to write the perfect English essay and especially how to fine tune a search using Google. Each topic is delivered in easy speak and lasts for less than four minutes. I would highly recommend this site for students who are looking for quick sound bytes on surviving VCE.

With the materials on this site, you can help your students become skilled searchers- whether they're just starting out with search, or ready for more advanced training.

I found this on Google using a search like this: research vic.edu.au and hit enter. Very powerful and ensures that only relevant sites come up in google without all the unnecessary ones. Really fine tunes the search.
