A great Search Engine site, but with more features such as a Library of resource organised by subject area. Unfortunately very U.S. based, but for some subjects that wouldn't matter.

The Khan Academy has generated a lot of discussion in education. The academy supplies a wealth of resources However... do these resources contribute to good teaching and learning?
This is a really handy website which I use both personally and professionally. I am really keen on the idea of using fiction to help teach history. I think reading historical fiction helps bring history 'alive' and stimulates an interest in finding out more. Even if the book is not 100% correct it doesn't matter as discovering this is part of the learning process and encourages critical thinking.

Drama in education is the use of drama techniques to support learning in the classroom. Drama in education was at first called creative dramatics and the founder of the field was Winifred Ward. By creative dramatics she meant a classroom teaching method that emphasizes self-expression, training in spoken English and literature appreciation.
