Video The video shows staff at Chevron think that things need to be done about the big issues too. They show that they are on top of these issues by cleverly pairing the issue posed by the "average building contractor" with the solution that Chevron is putting theirprofits to good use. They are "pumping $21 billion into local economies, small business, and communities.

Steve Jobs: Imitated, Never Duplicated - NYTimes.com - 0 views

  • In 2005, Steve Jobs gave the commencement address to the graduating students at Stanford. He told them the secret that defined him in every action, every decision, every creation of his tragically unfinished life:“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

The photos of the older style saddles once again brings the idea to mind that you can escape the city by climbing into one of these saddles and riding into the sunset ranch.
    • Kayla Fagg

"The first time, it's a vacation- after that, it's coming home." creates this idea that ranch is the place you will come 'home' and you will consistantly re-visit. The phrase 'coming home' has a positive connotation and tended to create a warm-fuzzy feeling within a person.
  • This is it - this is your ranch, only four hours from Vancouver, Canada!

Sundance guest ranch does an awesome job with making a 'city folk' feel like they can buy a 'weekend pass' of the cowboy lifestyle. The main photo has the cowboy standing in an authentic way as he and his horse looks onto the ranch. This is a photo that you may see in a western painting. The text constantly refers back to the ranch as being 'home' which has a very positive connotation for many people.

This slogan that make me respect them always, "The world's local bank" which emphasizes on the world being a one country and it is the local one for the whole world. It is nonnegotiable that it is a well deserved slogan since the bank is expanded to 100 countries. The Ethos is the mean of persuasion that is used claiming the proficiency that is approved by the whole world and the number of countries that are doing business with them. The slogan simply lays four words that appeal the high standard of knowledge, reputation and proficiency.

Overall website layout is simple and accessible. Colors of different shades of green and blue are chosen to represent the colors of the Earth. The information you need to know are grouped into categories, and phone numbers are displayed at top. Font size and font text are simple as it represents the environment of simplicity and cleanliness. The logo, looks like a part of a continent of the globe with recycling logo in the middle, same colors of green, blue and white are also used.
  • The Cities of Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, and Port Moody have already implemented residential organics collection programs.
  • The strategy is broad-based, targeting increased materials efficiencies in businesses, local economic development through "resource recovery" and public policy renewal to facilitate the development of a zero waste economy
  • RDN banned commercial food waste from the landfill. A commercial food waste diversion program involving businesses and organizations diverts more than 6,000 tonnes of food waste and organic compostables annually from the landfill.

Someone should smack this person. I may not be politically correct all the time, but it seems as though people only critisize something they know very little about.
    • Ruehl Kerner

I would say that I demonstarte kindness and compassion to animals in rodeo, as my horse is used in rodeo and i treat him with the utmost respect. I cannot do what I love without that horse, and I know he likes his job.
  • The downside to that is every time we give an inch and try to work with animal welfare groups, they take a mile and make it seem like we are guilty.
  • ...2 more annotations...
  • It is called natural selection and back in 1859, Charles Darwin began to document that the preservation of the species was based on Natural Selection. This still holds true today. If it were not for the option for ranchers to sell these cattle to rodeo livestock producers, the alternative would be certain death. Natural selection of rodeo livestock started when rodeo started and has evolved to include semen sexing, embryo transfer and cloning!
  • Rodeo livestock lives better than most people; certainly their breeders and owners. Regular, premium feed, and even bottled water in some cases, help to preserve the animals by keeping them comfortable, hydrated and able to perform to their ability. For these and other reasons it is a fact that many bulls today are marked and sold for six figures! They are as valuable as a prized thoroughbred race horse yet one does not see the Kentucky Derby, Preakness or Belmont being limited or eliminated.
