Video game critic, feminist and blogger Anita Sarkeesian canceled a Wednesday speech at Utah State University after the college received an email threatening violence if she lectured, school officials said. Sarkeesian is a pop culture critic whose series of videos under the Feminist Frequency banner analyze sexism in mainstream video games.

OKCupid is one of the largest dating sites in the world with over 4 million monthly active users. While the explicit purpose of OKCupid is to help users find romance, the site's co-founder Christian Rudder has discovered a dual purpose for the information produced through the dating site.

This TED talk suggests that children can actually just teach themselves if you leave them with computers, which seems to directly contradict a lot of the reading we've done. Perhaps the difference here is the use of mediators and the kids teaching each other?
