One of the hardest thing with using the iPad in the classroom is finding the time to go through all of the apps in the iTunes Store listed under the education banner. We have started to list some of the apps we've found under each of the Key Learning Areas.
EdX is a joint partnership between The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University to offer online learning to millions of people around the world. EdX will offer Harvard and MIT classes online for free. Through this partnership, the institutions aim to extend their collective reach to build a global community of online learners and to improve education for everyone.
The aim of Digital Learning Technologies is to provide the students with knowledge and practical experience in the digital technologies in the educational and training environment. This course will: Investigate technological developments influencing education and training; Investigate Online Pedagogy and Tools; Examine Digital Literacy and Networking Technologies; Analyse Social and Ethical Issues.
Nicely breaks up elearning interactivity into 4 levels - from Level 1: Passive (no interaction) up to Level 4: Simulation and game-based learning. Provdies examples of activites in each level.
