I was just wondering which google apps people are making use of in their classrooms or for professional/personal use. A couple of questions I am thinking about at the moment are: 1. Should we be giving students experience with public access tools such as these so that they can take the skills they learn with them rather than the skills they learn specific to Myclasses/myinternet? 2. With myclasses etc perhaps being phased out/modified/replaced at some stage is this a viable alternative that could be used instead?
An excellent resource for those who are introducing Diigo to their staff or class. Has links to various resources regarding social bookmarking in general, and Diigo in particular and shares how it could be used by a class or staff.
This is an interesting website which allows children to hear other children their age reading stories, some would be familiar, whilst others might be new. The stories are written by several authors who contribute to the site, and all the videos are screened before they are uploaded. Many of the videos include captions in other languages, so it may be a good tool for language learning, too.

This could be worth changing to, especially with the auto post to delicious. The groups, annotation and highlighting are the main points of difference that appeal to me.
Wallwisher is a simple "sticky note" environment that anyone can post a note to (text, images, movies etc). This wallwisher was created for the participants of the Lighthouse Learning Technologies Course 2009
A simple story about the beach by Kieran, age 5. Made in StoryBird with a 10 minute limit to learn how to use the application, write a book and read it. (Captured with a screen capture tool) Very nice tool. Currently you only able to publish it to storybird.
Great way to have students engage with any web content. Will work in Flock and Firefox. Very interesting, it turns every webpage into a wiki. A great study tool especially for secondary students.
A Guide to Annotating using Diigo. Invest 2 minutes to learn how you can help students learn from and with each other by annotating web pages in with Diigo
A little gimmicky but this could be a really interesting way for teachers to gather a series of resources together for students. Alternatively students could create binders of resources. Check the examples.
