This is a great collection of videos done by teachers on numerous topics. You can also upload your own videos to share with others. This has several applications.

This website has a lot of different videos, pictures, audio. etc that could be used in the classroom. All you have to do is type in what you want to search, and you will be amazed with what comes up! For example, I typed in "The Water Cycle" and had 10 different videos pop up!

Everyone is familiar with youtube and the material that can be found there. As school districts block more and more sites, the options for teachers becomes more limited. Teachertube is geared for educators and students and many of the videos are posted by other teachers.

Discovery Education has an AWESOME website that provides lesson plans for almost every area of teaching K-12. Once you click on a lesson plan that you like, you are provided with the objectives that are covered, materials needed, procedures on how to teach the lesson, evaluation over the lesson, and vocabulary! WOW!!!!!

This site captures history in numerous ways, videos, posters, photographs, historical documents, and more. What they are calling "digital vaults." However, this site goes much further than that... You can create your own posters or movies and many more creative historical items. They provide numerous photos, videos, and other things needed to create these items. You can also upload your own from your computer. There are lesson plans provided for educators using these resources.

Soshiku is a free online service that helps keep track of school assignments and due dates. This site is geared more towards high school and higher education students, but could also be used by teachers to keep track of meetings, tests and due dates.

This site would be great for creating historical reports. It allows you to use video, sound, music, pictures and much more to help you tell a story.

PBwiki is for teachers, students, and parents. It lets you create a simple, secure wiki in about 60 seconds. You can make your wiki public or private. You can also embed video & audio, add tags, RSS, and full page revisions, see who changed what, and automatically reverse any changes. It also has access controls. This would be a good collaboration tool for the classroom.

Teachade is a social networking site for teachers to access helpful teacher Internet sites, educational resources, and websites for classroom teachers. There is a way to join the site so that it becomes a social networking site. There is also a workspace for you to add information that you want to keep track of, Blogs, and a way to make a group. It only has 35 members so if you like smaller more imitate sites then this is one for you.

This site takes uploaded digital pictures and places them into a video set to music of your choosing. This is a fabulous tool to use in the classroom for various presentations. Everything from book reports to science presentations to classroom exhibitions can be shared using this site. The sky truly is the limit.

You can use this tool for digital storytelling. This collaborative video creating site offers many possibilities! Students could use the site to create videos for a variety of purposes and projects. Teachers and schools could use the site to create videos content knowledge, professional development, or parent information. The site offers tutorials and education specific solutions.

Tikatok is where kids channel their imagination into stories - and publish those stories into books for you to share and treasure with friends and family. Tikatok also has a separate education site. Storytelling comes alive here! Tikatok is a great site that allows the user to create and publish hardback or paperback books. The site is free and the printed books cost about $20.00. This site encourages students to use their creativity to write a story, draw illustrations and more!

This website is another site that allows children to author and illustrate a book online. The books can then be purchased in hardback, paperback, or PDF format. I really think that this site would appeal to students who like to use technology. It's an alternative to the paper and pencil writing that some students really seem to fear and avoid.

What girl doesn't love shoes! This site is fun to rate, read about, and watch videos about shoes! It also gives places to find the shoes you like at low costs. It's not necessarily an educational tool, but lots of fun, none the less.

This site allows you to create an online wiki for free. Although it does cost to upgrade, it is a popular and easy-to-use site. This site would be a great tool to use for classroom collaboration.

Wikispaces is a wiki hosting service. They allow educators to create an ad-free at no cost. We use wikispaces in the classroom to collaborate on group projects and share the projects we have created in the classroom.

If you like to travel this site be the right one for you. It gives user created reviews of various hotels. You can search for a city and availability dates and then see the reviews for the hotels that fit the search criteria. Not educational, but a neat site to look at if you are planning a trip.

PollDaddy allows you to create your own poll or survey on any topic for free. You can then add your creation to your web site, blog, or social networking page. You can use them for fun or as an educational tool. Teachers can create polls or surveys for their students to answer, regarding current subject matter or students can use their math skills to create their own poll/survey. They can create polls and surverys related to specific objectives and they can incorporate their technology skills by adding their poll/survey to a web page, blog, powerpoint, or other media forms.

The site was created by professional educators and offers games that students would enjoy, but also learn from completing. The site also offers homework help and printable worksheets.
