This is not only for the teacher, but for the student as well. Although I am not an art teacher, I do my best to enclude art in the classroom. It allows students to express themselves withour feeling the need to worry so much about getting the entire assignment right on the dot. On this URL, there are activities for teachers to use and for students to use.

This site from Scholastic is the jumping off point for 20 different educational blogs. You'll hear from elementary, middle, special ed, student and various other educators. Many of the blogs give you other educational blogs to visit.

This URL provides multiple math practices to be used by student in the classroom. The tacher can also use them as a way to show what is to be done on the board.

This is a way for educators to collaborate with eachother froma distance, even across the country.

Great for finding books for your library.

Allows you to save a webpage for later reading, even offline. It strips away all of the extemporaneous information (ads, menus, comments, etc.) and just gives you the article you want to read. I use this for just about every website that we are sent to in this MS program!

This is very apropos considering we are all working on this very degree online. Presents some very interesting statistics.

You've got to check this one out, especially if you are or plan to be an elementary school librarian. This librarian, Keisa Williams, has such great ideas. She even talks about some of the professional development she has done with the staff. Awesome!

I was introduced to this site in another class I have taken through PSU and find it to be really powerful. TED stands for Technology Entertainment Design. This site goes beyond technologies for the classroom, and discusses real life technologies…some our students might be using in the future. This site contains a number of videos. The videos discuss a variety of topics, more than just technology.
