BBC Learning English | Pronunciation Tips - 1 views

  •
This is a well known website from the BBC organization. As we have seen in class, it is really useful for both students and teachers. There are four main categories. The first one is called "Sounds of English", where we can learn about the symbols for writing the sounds thanks to the videos (which show how to pronounce them) and the activities (to practice identifying the difference between sounds which may sound similar). The second one is "Features of English", where we can find interactive and downloadable exercises and the third one is about interactive "Quizzes" about English pronunciation. The last category is "Programmes", where there are some downloadable radio programmes from 2005 on the topic of pronunciation.

As I have seen most of the websites work with practical exercices and leave appart the theorical part. Moreover, most of them don't take into account the catalan language. That's the reason why I have chosen this website, feel free to check it!

KAMISHIBAI IN ENGLISH - 1 views

This is not a website of pronunciation. Kamishibai is a very particular way to tell stories to children that makes them participate while the teacher is speaking. In Universidad de Navarra they introduced this type of stories to teach very young students some english pronunciations to get used to the language. it is very interesting.
