I recently attended a two-day ASTD certificate course she did in conjunction with the TechKnowledge conference in Las Vegas. It was informative and she has a unique approach that really presented some of the concepts in a straight-forward manner/ Of course, in two days you can only dig so deep but I would recommend the course for those new to project management.

This site provides a nice, concise view of the project management process as well as a number of tools.

Nothing beats free and easy. For small projects or projects that require immediate collaboration, GD is the way to go. It has plenty of limits, but most people know GD and it's limitations.

Wiggio is a free group collaboration tool that helps facilitate communication, document sharing and project execution. Some technical issues have been identified with this site which might prevent effective use of it's tools. Use with caution.

What I enjoy the most about Wiggio is their ability to send text messages about deadlines for school projects. However, when trying to take full advantage of all their social connectivity components, I found myself running into issues with server lags. I think they probably still need more financial support or stability to increase the efficiency of their services.

After using Wiggio for several weeks now, I do like some features, but the number of errors is obnoxious. It really reminds me of when I tried to use Google Wave in its final moments.

Although our class has already discussed MS Project, I didn't notice it on our resource list here. It is a great addition to MS Products, such as SharePoint. Teams can manage their parts of projects in SharePoint and add their smaller tasks as needed. Unfortunately it is still something feared and underused. This looks like a great resource/site. Like you said, there are several interesting looking e-learning topics that are worth checking out. The "Top 10" you mention is a funny, but informative article - i especially liked number 10, which is "Forgetting to thank me when I help you out" :) I also noticed there is a workshop available for this topic, although pricey - if you have the money to burn it could be worth it! This is a cool site that offers lot's of different PM resources, including articles, templates, and best practice strategies.

This is a cool trimmed down list of great project management tips. It's broken down into sections including, Five Ways to Avoid Project Disaster.

This site has 3 prerecorded webinars on Project Management that address the building blocks, practical examples and applying PM principles to your workplace. Although geared toward library application, the PM skills addressed can be adapted and serve as a good refresher, introduction to or continuing education. This site is hosted by the Colorado Dept of Education and the Colorado State Library, which lends reliability to the content. The webinars are FREE and always accessible, and you can download the slides in Powerpoint or as a handout, which is great for note taking.

PMI is a non-profit membership association for the project management profession. Thet are advocates for project management and havecreated globally recognized standards and credentials.

This site is from the American Management Association and they offer seminars and resources for developing your project management skills.

Jennifer, I posted a tool very similar. I really love mind mapping and think it has huge benefits in the area of project management. It is nice when multiple people can work on the same visual. These maps help you to organized your ideas and see potential problems. Both huge things in Project Management.
