He recommended Norman Doige's books, The Brain That Changes Itself; Personal Triumphs from the Frontiers of Brain Science and The Brain's Way of Healing: Remarkable Discoveries and Recoveries from the Frontiers of Neuroplasticity. One of the case studies is about Dr. Michael Merzenich, a research who was vilified by the medical establishment for investigating neuroplasticity. Great story. Merzenich is a founder of PositScience and BrainHQ.
