Also, I just gave my class a group project yesterday on the Age of Religious Wars... I had to change it up a little. The constant essays were killing them and me! So they are very excited about this project. I broke them up into groups and assigned each group a different religious war. Then they have to film the story- in the format of a reality show, complete with opening credits that introduce the characters, scripted plots, and of course solo camera interviews. They went nuts.
