  • Bei unseren amerikanischen Kollegen von ScienceBlogs.com geht es gerade rund. Die Blogger verlassen scharenweise die Plattform - Neuron Culture, Science after Sunclipse, Good Math, Bad Math, Neurotopia und Laelaps haben schon ihre Abschiedsbeiträge geschrieben
  • Was ist passiert? Bei SB.com gibt es ein neues Blog - es heisst Food Frontiers und wird von PepsiCo betrieben
  • Natürlich wäre es was anderes, wenn nun die PR-Abteilung von PepsiCo das Blog nutzen würde um einen Beitrag nach dem anderen darüber zu verfassen wie super schmackhaft, gesund und wichtig die PepsiCo-Produkte sind.

  • bei Food Frontiers gibt es bis jetzt nur einen einzigen "Hallo, da sind wir"-Artikel. Ich verstehe also nicht wirklich, warum sich die amerikanischen Blogger-Kollegen nun so enorm aufregen.
  • Aber die eigentliche Frage ist ja eine grundsätzlichere. Wie ich oben schon gesagt habe, arbeiten Wissenschaftler nicht nur an Universitäten sondern auch überall in der Industrie und Wirtschaft. Sind die per se weniger glaubwürdig; weniger unabhängig; wenig verläßlich? Sind Blogs von Industrie-Wissenschaftler a priori mehr PR-Blogs anstatt Wissenschaftsblog?

  • Social computing will continue to grow in government, but won't hit critical mass in 2010.
  • Don't forget that there was some clamping down on social media in government during 2009 including the Marines restricting access to services such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter. Progress in 2010 will be better in state and to a lesser extent local government. The federal government will also struggle with a consistent policy and approach for internal and external social computing, which probably won't emerge next year.
  • Open data goes back to the drawing board. I've been bullish on open data and APIs for years and the government got religion in 2009 with data.gov. But the usage is down as government workers and businesses realize that the data is often far out-of-date and not in forms that can be used operationally.

  • Cloud computing will go big. While many agencies will just use the technologies internally for now in order to have public options later, there is tremendous interest in the cloud
  • Government portals (rightly) continue to incorporate social media, but deep engagement will be elusive for now. I've seen many overhauls of government portals this year, including Utah.gov and the Department of Defense, prominently incorporate social media right on their home pages. To be clear, these are major advances for the government to make on the internal/external boundary and I encourage them.

Die Online-Authentifizierung erfolgt mit Hilfe eines Ausweislesegerätes für den PC, welches separat zum Personalausweis erworben werden muss. Nach dem Einscannen des Ausweises, gibt der Nutzer eine sechsstellige Pin ein. Erst dann kann eine Transaktion zu Stande kommen.

Student betrugen 2007 von der Volks- bis zur Hochschule 10.974 US-Dollar (kaufkraftbereinigt) pro Jahr - ein Wert, der deutlich über dem OECD-Schnitt von 8.216 Dollar liegt. Übertroffen wird das nur von den USA (14.269 Dollar), der Schweiz (13.031) und Norwegen (11.967).
