"Cult of Pedagogy" is a website and a place for teachers to unite and explore ideas together through a blog, podcast, and posts. The main page goes into detail about what Project Based Learning entails. This website uses the analogy "project based learning, the content is baked inside of a long-term project, a real-world problem students need to solve in a creative and authentic way. In the process of solving the problem, students also meet required standards, but this work is integrated into the project, not separate from it". This is a key component in understanding PBL because it is more than just solving a basic math problem. The really cool thing about this website is that it connects the viewer to a podcast called "Cult of Pedagogy". Teacher's can listen to this broadcast to get ideas about teaching and PBL. There is also a tab for teaching materials. The materials included are e-book template, google drive basics, and icebreakers that all educators can utilize when implementing Project Based Learning into their classroom. Overall, this is a great tool created by an educator for all.

This website is great for creating presentations as a student and future teacher

Piktochart is a great info graphic and presentation creator. I chose it because we used it in our own teaching this week and found it very useful. It's a great alternative to slides and power-point and has great design features. It can be useful in every class and be customized to fit any teaching material.

One of the great resources used in schools to teach language arts are videos. One video that really stands out and is used in many schools is the Phonics dance, it teaches students how to sound out words, and how to associate the words with pictures and motions creating a greater chance of remembering the material.

This government site has free resources for teaching digital citizenship. You can order free education booklets and other materials for your whole school. Make sure you scan these materials before giving them directly to students, especially at the elementary level. Some materials contain mature content and should be delivered directly to parents, perhaps during conferences. "The Net Cetera online toolkit offers free resources to help you teach people in your community about kids' online safety. Regardless of your experience as a speaker - or your expertise in online safety - this kit has the resources and information you need to convey key points about protecting kids online."

Teaching history with technology can be a great way to engage students while also building bridges between the history classroom and the technology department at your school. One good place to start is by exploring some of the technologies available to you in the classroom.

This source, from the ISTE, gives articles directly related to digital citizenship and how to apply it. Can give knowledge on if you want to learn, and material that you can teach your students so they can be good digital citizens.

A website to help you find and evaluate research material. It gives you good tips and tricks when searching for good resources.

Lesson plan materials,games,tools, and resources for teaching about presidents and the government

According to the textbook, this is a great source to use to "bundle" all of one lessor, or a whole course into one, easy to use site. By using My Big Campus, you are using Web-Based Learning Management Systems (LMS) to incorporate student management tools into your daily learning.

A Learning Management Systems is a wonderful tool that gives you access to class information at your fingertips! The features include: syllabi, teaching materials, quizzes, tests, survey, email, discussion forums, automatic grade book and drop box, just to name a few. Most school districts provide an LMS but if not, My Big Campus is a good resource.

This website discusses the importance of storytelling when teaching new material to a class. We felt like when most people think of storytelling they only think of teaching in that method to younger kids but it can actually be beneficial to all ages. We thought this website had a lot of good reasons and facts as to why storytelling can be beneficial in the classroom.

This article is a good read because at the bottom it gives tips on how to get people engaged and do what you want them to do!  Highlighted in green is the important tips I took out of this read. 

A good story can make or break a presentation, article, or conversation. But why is that? Here he shares the science of why storytelling is so uniquely powerful.

This is a great resource because it provides examples of digital storytelling in each content area.

We chose this website because it gives information about how to create digital stories to show to your class. We thought it was a different way to teach material that many teachers may not think to do. We thought that because it is not very common that when digital stories are shown to the class, they will be more interested in the material that is being taught.

TeachWithMovies.org offers a collection of lesson plans and curriculum materials using movies to inspire, inform and motivate your students. There are subject-specific sections for English, Social Studies, Sciences, and Other Subjects (which include Math, Health, Music, and numerous other subjects). These subject areas are often broken down into sub-categories (for example, Social Sciences is broke down into US History, World History, and Civics).

This is a good resource because it provides basic rules for making digital presentations more effective.

Our topic for the week focuses on the presentation of the material you present to the classroom. This website contained information on how to create an engaging and interesting way to present the material in a classroom.

This is a great resource for how to use iPad's in the classroom. This site has everything one needs to know about how to incorporate the iPad and great lesson plan ideas.

This website is a great resource for using iPads in the classroom.

A neat website that provides access to things like: images from space, earth and moon viewer, volcano watch, and even zoo webcams.

HotChalk's Lesson Plans Page (LPP) allows teachers to search through a database of lesson plans so that teachers can apply them in the classroom. People do not need to register with the site to view the lesson plans. The website simply functions as a way for teachers (pre-K through 12) to find new methods to teach material.

We used the online textbook because we felt like it was the most important and reliable resource we could use that would have all the materials we needed to include in our lesson this week.

This resource is a web-based learning management system.Which allows you to be organize and connect with your students. It's just like D2L.
