"Using Blooms Taxonomy in education is a highly effective way to scaffold learning for the students. With the recent popularity and pervasive nature of iOS devices in school districts it is essential for educators to understand how to implement Blooms in the classroom using the apps that are available.
While this list is by no means fully comprehensive, it will assist educators in getting started when implementing iOS devices in the classroom.
This site will change almost daily as it will be updated with new and exciting apps!
If you find any that you have worked with in your classroom please email dmileham@e1b.org or tweet @bloomsapps or @dmileham75 with your suggestions. Thanks for checking the site!

Most educators are more familiar with Bloom's Taxonomy than with Webb's Depth of Knowledge.
Blooms Taxonomy
In 1965 Benjamin Bloom identified three types of learning: cognative (mental skills/knowledge), affective (emotional/attitudes) , and psychomotor (manual/physical skills) Within the cognative area, there are six progressive categories in the development of intellectual skills. Each step must be mastered before the next can occur. (Note the levels listed below do not reflect the 1990's revision of the taxonomy)"
"In preparation for the CUE Rockstar Teacher Tech Camp I am trying to create a SIMPLE and comprehensive "Explore-Flip-Apply" lesson planning template for session participants. Click here to see what I have create so far and feel free to "make a copy" and use as you like. I welcome any suggestions you have. I am having trouble embedding the google doc, so I have provided screenshots below as well. My goal is to create a streamlined way for teachers to unpackage a topic according to Blooms Taxonomy, then allocated those learning objectives across an inquiry based learning cycle, using video as a low-end Blooms content delivery tool after knowledge construction. In this six-part series, I will highlight apps useful for developing higher order thinking skills in grades K-5 classrooms. Each list will highlight a few apps that connect to the various stages on Bloom's continuum of learning. Given the size and current exponential growth of the app market, I will also assist educators in setting criteria necessary to identify apps that maintain the integrity of teaching for thinking.
