Welcome to Deafblind Online! This website provides free software for people who are deafblind or have learning disabilities. This software can be used to enable them to learn, explore their surroundings and become more independent. Parents, carers and support staff can download the software and assist the disabled people in using the software.

The BC UDL project is a Ministry of Education funded initiative to assist pilot school districts in implementing principles and building infrastructure for UDL. BC teachers often find it challenging to maintain high standards in education while addressing the increasingly diverse needs of learners. UDL combines some of the current best practices already used by BC educators including differentiated instruction, performance-based assessment and the use of educational technology in order to improve student learning."

Fun4TheBrain is a great interactive and educational site for children. It contains a variety of math, reading and science games. The reading games are perfect for reviewing parts of speech and learning sight words and vocabulary. Some of the reading games are also available in hard copy to help teach children to read by giving them a stress-free and fun approach to learning. Math games cover a range of topics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

"Accessing Curriculum Through Technology Tools (ACTTT) developed and evaluated an integrated technology tool curriculum to support learning standards and provide access to the general early elementary curriculum. The ACTTT model was developed and tested in kindergarten, first, and second grade classrooms at Westview Elementary School, Lincoln Elementary School, and Eastview Elementary School in Canton, Illinois. Participants included children with typical development, children with disabilities, and children at risk for learning failure. Among the technology tools used in the curriculum were the Internet; computers, digital cameras, digital microscopes, video, printers, scanners, and switches; and software used for writing, graphing, mapping, authoring, graphics, and concept development."
