    The goals of this Agreement are to provide rewarding environmental service opportunities that harness the idealism and energy of a volunteer labor force to help restore America's public lands, create employment and educational opportunities for youth and young adults, all while using best practices to manage natural and cultural resources. This project will engage recipients, partners, communities, and visitors in shared environmental and cultural stewardship.

BLM-UT, Youth Opportunities to Work on Conservation Projects throughout Utah Public Lands - 0 views

    BLM Utah has youth funding available to work with qualified youth conservation corps for the purposes of introducing youth and young adults to careers in the BLM and assist in fulfilling our mission. BLM is interested in working with youth and young adults to complete conservation projects that enhance the students classroom learning by providing them opportunities to gain experience, learn about public lands, further their understanding and appreciation of natural and cultural resources, and pique their interest in natural resource careers. Young men and women who participate in the rehabilitation and restoration of our nationÿfds natural, cultural, historic, archaeological, recreational, comprehensive environmental field studies and service programs that advance ecological literacy, conservation, and environmental research in the areas of public land restoration, forestry, range, trail work and scenic treasures will gain an increased appreciation and understanding of our public lands and of the value of public service, and are likely to become life-long advocates for those values.

    This program will provide professional training, through the use of internships, mentoring, environmental education, and interpretive educational opportunities in order for young people to learn conservation and land management processes and policies as they relate to natural resources management of public lands. Furthermore, this program will achieve a variety resource management projects on public lands managed by the BLM¿s Eastern States Field Offices. Routine workload may include provision of outreach and interpretive services, visitor service patrol, facility maintenance, trail work, exotic species control or any other action supporting the implementation of BLMs approved plans.

ABC Wildlife has offered humane wildlife removal services to the Chicagoland area for over 35 years.  As a woman-owned corporation operating in a largely male field, ABC Wildlife understands the remarkable impact women can have when allowed to break through. We want to pave the way for other women pursuing their dreams in the scientific world, which is why ABC Wildlife is introducing a scholarship designed to increase the number of women studying and influencing the future of science, including technology, engineering and math.
