The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics is accepting applications from teachers of pre-K-5 mathematics for projects that incorporate music into the classroom to help young students learn math. Grants of up to $3,000 will be awarded to individual classroom teachers or small groups of teachers collaborating in a grade or across grade levels. Any acquisition of equipment must support the proposed plan but not be the primary focus of the grant. Proposals must address the integration of mathematics and music, planning for improving students' learning, and/or the anticipated impact on student achievement. Applicants must be a current Full Individual or E-Member of NCTM or teach in a school with a current NCTM pre-K-8 school membership and currently teach mathematics or collaborate with teachers of math in grades pre-K-2. 

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) announces the availability of approximately $975,412 to be competitively awarded for the purpose of expanding access to high-quality, comprehensive services to low-income infants and toddlers and their families through Early Head Start-Child Care (EHS-CC) Partnerships, or through the expansion of Early Head Start services. ACF solicits applications from public entities, including states, or private non-profit organizations, including community-based or faith-based organizations, or for-profit agencies that meet eligibility for applying as stated in section 645A of the Head Start Act. The mission of the Consortium for Applied Studies in Jewish Education (CASJE) is to stimulate and support the work of researchers, practitioners, and funders who believe that evidence should drive decision-making in Jewish education. To that end, CASJE is inviting applications for research that can make a difference in how Jewish education is practiced. Two grants of up to $30,000 will be awarded in support of time-concentrated research connected to the consortium's areas of focus, which include Jewish educational leadership, Jewish early-childhood education, Hebrew language education, Israel education, and the career trajectories of Jewish educators. Only empirical research will be funded; conceptual inquiries or literature reviews are not eligible for funding.

The Toshiba America Foundation is accepting grant applications from K-5 grade school teachers for innovative science or math projects in their classroom. The foundation awards individual grants of up to $1,000 to any K-5 teacher in a public or private nonprofit school in support of a hands-on science or math education project. Funds are intended for project-related materials only. The foundation strongly encourages projects planned and led by individual teachers or teams of teachers for use in their classrooms. Summer projects or afterschool programs will not be considered. Salaries, facility maintenance, textbooks, video production, audio-visual equipment, and education research are not eligible for funding.

The Conference on College Composition and Communication is inviting proposals for its Research Initiative, which is designed to advance the organization's mission to advocate for broad and evolving definitions of literacy, communication, rhetoric, and writing (including multi-modal discourse, digital communication, and diverse language practices) and empower individuals and communities through bold, creative research. Through the program, grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded in support of proposals designed to investigate key challenges faced by literacy, communication, rhetoric and writing instructors and administrators in their classrooms and programs. Proposals should directly address the impact that the research might have on disciplinary and public discourse about these topics and  convey results in at least two final products: one that is addressed to a scholarly audience of researchers and teachers in the field, and one for a clearly specified audience beyond those in the field.

To that end, it is inviting concept papers for its grants program. Through the program, grants will be awarded in support of proposals and programs in which the chief purpose is to advance engineering for the welfare of humanity. Proposals must be consistent with the mission of UEF and its priorities for giving, which include programs focused on diversity in the profession, K-12 education, and engineering ethics, safety, security, and leadership. Preference will be given to proposals for programs that are innovative and aim to integrate multiple fields and subspecialties of engineering; proposals for programs that include outreach to the community; collaborative proposals submitted on behalf of a group; and proposals that specify that grant funds will not be used to offset existing staff salaries.

With this solicitation, NIJ requests proposals for research to evaluate the effectiveness of the Second Chance Act (SCA) grant program in improving reentry and reducing recidivism. To support this effort, NIJ will fund a phased research evaluation strategy that details and measures the implementation, processes, outcomes, costs, and impacts of the grants awarded under the SCA grant program. This solicitation supports DOJ Strategic Objective 3.1: Combat violent crime, promote safe communities, and uphold the rights of victims of crime.

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Preservation and Access is accepting applications for the Preservation and Access Education and Training program. The purpose of this program is to support the development of knowledge and skills among professionals responsible for preserving and establishing access to humanities collections. Awards are made to organizations that offer national, regional, or statewide education and training programs that provide the staff of cultural institutions with the knowledge and skills needed to serve as effective stewards of humanities collections.

Under the call, grants of up to $50,000 over up to three years will be awarded in support of education research projects that contribute to an understanding of the rapid shifts in education in this time of crisis and change. The foundation is especially interested in studies focused on understanding and disrupting the reproduction and deepening of educational inequality caused by the crisis, as well as research projects that are working to reimagine educational opportunities in these times. The foundation is interested in proposals at all levels and in all settings of learning, including early childhood, higher education, and in schools, families, and communities, as well as studies that seek to understand the situated experiences of non-dominant groups, including English-language learners, immigrants, minoritized communities, Indigenous communities, students with disabilities, highly mobile and institutionalized youth (e.g., foster youth or those in youth prisons), and rural communities. The program will support proposals from multiple disciplinary and methodological perspectives, both domestically and internationally, as well as from scholars at various stages in their careers.

Grants of up to $1 million will be awarded to support intellectually ambitious large-scale education research projects. In an effort to create much-needed space for creative and ambitious research projects that promise to advance our understanding of educational practice and its improvement, the program encourages proposals from scholars across a variety of disciplines and fields.

A single grant of up to $15,000 will be awarded to a mid-career professional whose research project relates to the appreciation, interpretation, preservation, study, and teaching of European art, architecture, and related disciplines, from antiquity to the early nineteenth century, in the context of historic preservation in the United States. Potential Kress Fellow projects could include the exploration of shared European and American influences in style, design, materials, construction techniques, building types, conservation and interpretation methodologies, philosophical and theoretical attitudes, and other factors applicable to preservation in both Europe and America.

The TESOL International Association is accepting applications to its Tina B. Carver Fund. Through the fund, grants of up to $400 will be awarded for the purchase of student classroom learning materials and/or teacher-related materials (e.g., ancillary materials that can be used in conjunction with textbooks or other instruction materials) in support of adult ESL education programs in the United States. Priority will be given to programs that serve hard-to-reach students with limited resources (e.g., beginning literacy to intermediate-low ESL students). To be eligible, applicants must be a TESOL member or member of a TESOL affiliate.

Established in 1962, the Spencer Foundation is dedicated to the belief that research is necessary to the improvement of education. To that end, the foundation supports high-quality investigations of education through its research programs and to the strengthening and renewal of the educational research community through its fellowship/training programs and related activities. To that end, the foundation is accepting proposals through its Small Research Grants Program from education research projects. In keeping with the foundation's mission, the program aims to fund academic work that will contribute to the improvement of education, broadly conceived. Examples of previously funded projects include an experimental study of how college students use visual representations in solving math problems; a study exploring the process of racial and rural identity formation among African-American high-school students who attend de facto segregated schools in the rural South; and a mixed-methods study focused on the different types of knowledge novice and experienced teachers draw on in teaching reading comprehension. To be eligible, principal investigators and co-PIs must have an earned doctorate in an academic discipline or professional field, or appropriate experience in an education research-related profession. In addition, the PI must be affiliated with a college, university, school district, nonprofit research facility, or nonprofit cultural institution that is willing to serve as the fiscal agent should a grant be awarded.

This grant program supports: (1) training students for Master's and doctoral degrees in food, agricultural and natural resource sciences, and; (2) Special International Study or Thesis/Dissertation Research Travel Allowances (IRTA) for eligible USDA NNF beneficiaries. Awards are specifically intended to support traineeship programs that engage outstanding students to pursue and complete their degrees in USDA mission areas. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), in partnership with the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), invites applications for funding to support institutional career development awards designed to train clinician and research scientists to conduct PCOR research within learning health systems (LHS) focused on generation, adoption, and application of evidence in order to improve the quality and safety of care.
