RFA-AA-21-001: Improving Health Disparities in Alcohol Health Services (R01 Clinical Tr... - 0 views

  •
NIAAA and the Division of Treatment and Recovery Research are seeking to expand our portfolio to address these needs and to advance five main areas in health services research. These five areas include accessibility, increased treatment appeal, costs, dissemination and implementation, and health disparities. We are particularly interested in applications addressing the interaction between one or more of these five areas and those using study designs extending beyond standard randomized clinical trials, e.g., effectiveness-implementation hybrid, Sequential Multiple Assignment Randomized Trial (SMART), and multiphase optimization study (MOST), and studies proposing culturally-informed adaptations of existing evidence-based interventions.

COVID-19: Stop The Spread - 0 views

Our goal is to connect businesses and organizations that are best-positioned to address critical needs during this public health crisis, often in innovative or unexpected ways. Then we support those businesses to do what they do best: scale products and services that can help the American public. In the immediate term, we are keenly focused on working with companies-large and small-to spur development of personal protective equipment for medical and non-medical use, novel testing solutions, widely-accessible therapeutics and health services to address the needs of underserved communities. As the crisis evolves, we will continue to be responsive by tackling other urgent priorities.

NOT-MD-21-007: Notice of Intent to Publish a Funding Opportunity Announcement for Resea... - 0 views

  •
The goal of the NOSI is to develop strategies and interventions to address vaccine hesitancy, uptake, and implementation among populations who experience health disparities in the US. The NOSI will solicit research to help understand and address misinformation, distrust, and hesitancy regarding vaccines (e.g., SARS-CoV-2, human papilloma virus, pneumococcal, influenza, hepatitis B, and herpes zoster) that target adults in the United States and territories, especially among populations who are at increased risk for morbidity and mortality due to long-standing systemic health and social inequities and chronic medical conditions. The program will solicit community-engaged research to: 1) evaluate innovative interventions (e.g., expand reach, access) to facilitate vaccination uptake in clinical and community contexts; and 2) address the barriers to increasing reach, access, and uptake of vaccinations among health disparity populations.

COPIC Medical Foundation | Malpractice Insurance Companies | COPIC - 0 views

  •
CMF works to improve health care outcomes through grant funding of: * Programs and initiatives that improve patient safety and quality of care through education and training of health care professionals or through systems changes and improvements; * Pilot programs that are designed to reduce medical errors; and * Development and implementation of checklists and other tools to improve disease management and transitions in care. The 2021 focus area is fragmentation across care settings. Breakdowns in care from a fragmented healthcare system can lead to readmissions, missed diagnoses, medication errors, delayed treatment, duplicative testing and procedures, and reduction in quality of care leading to general patient and provider dissatisfaction. Healthcare organizations must collaborate with each other and decide how to transfer information about patients they share. For example, health information technology can help providers share information about their patients. Organizations must devise strategies to "close the loop" and ensure that providers are aware of and address actionable patient information, such as test results.
