Educational Uses of Digital Storytelling - 0 views

  •
Digital Storytelling is the practice of using computer-based tools to tell stories. As with traditional storytelling, most digital stories focus on a specific topic and contain a particular point of view. Digital Literacy: Skills for the 21st Century: Introduction - 0 views

This Digital Literacy Toolkit began with the premise that multimedia authoring, which is happening with the extensive use of PowerPoint in classrooms, must be taught as a skill, just as traditional text-based writing is taught. From the articles I've been reading on teacher PD for ICT, there appears to be a clear message. * To achieve positive learning outcomes, PD is crucial. * PD must be continuous and address particular needs of individual teachers. * The traditional model for PD (one-off, one day courses) is bunk as it doesn't provide on-going support. * The focus on skills is a distraction from the main-game, pedagogy.

If you're a scrapbooking fan, Skrappy will not disappoint. If you're not a scrapbooking fan, Skrappy just might turn you into one. It is very robust, runs great, and is so much more enjoyable than the traditional way of cutting paper, handling glue, and realizing you need to redo a page because you've misspelled a word. (Scrapbooking was never my thing).
