Amy, I'm really glad you've joined The High Calling. It was fun to hear about your She Speaks experience--I've always wanted to go and haven't been able to you. I'm one of the welcome editors at THC and wanted to offer my support and perspective as you try to get published. I love writing and just signed my 5th book contract with Kregel. Wow. I love this! Thanks for being willing to hug a smelly drunk in His name. You convicted and challenged me today. I work in refugee resettlement and our building houses ministries/outreaches to homeless folks, as well. I don't usually "see Jesus" in them--but I will more often now. :)

Carmen, you give great advice. My hubby and kids and I had to break the "eating out too much" habit a few years ago and it's one of the best things we ever did. Krista, How awesome to see you in the new member feeds at THC! I love that you're being so honest about the grief, depression and anxiety you felt after a devastating loss. I've been there-not about diabetes, but about other things. God is truly the strength and source of my life, and I couldn't have crawled out of that pit without Him. Thanks for your transparency. I can't wait to see your future posts! Let us know how we can help you grow your readership, okay? (I know you have a pro at your house-fistbump to the hubby!)
