Isn't it just like God to use us most when we feel the most weak? That's been the case for me too many times than I can count! I do think that we get caught up in trying to impress people with the way we've "massaged" the message, instead of just relating what we feel God is trying to say through His word. I'm so glad you've joined High Calling Blogs and look forward to reading more of your thoughts in the months to come.

And He was my everything then, and He is now…although my faith has ebbed and flowed, He has remained so faithful! Thanks for joining HCB>and welcome!!! I look forward to interacting with you around the network. Reply

Jen, I had a very close relationship with my maternal grandmother and still miss her a ton, even though it's been 13 years since she passed away. What a blessing to read your insightful post and see you give "permission" to your friend to grieve and not be okay. Sometimes I think we try to gloss over loss, instead of really feeling it. It makes us uncomfortable when people grieve...so thanks for this. I look forward to reading more of your work in the HCB network. :)

Dena Dyer said... What a fun post! Love your pics, too. Last week, I started a new job and forgot to bring a fork to eat my lunch with. Before I finally found a plastic fork in one of the drawers in the kitchen, I seriously considered eating my meatloaf with my fingers. :) Good to find you through High Calling Blogs--I look forward to reading more of your work! 9:47 PM

I love the creative way you reminded me that we're not finished yet. And that I shouldn't give up when I mess up. PTL for grace! Welcome to HCB. I hope you'll find it as warm and inspiring as I have.
