Brooke, we're really glad to have you in the blog network at The High Calling. We look forward to getting to know you better. Raising the risk is something we talk a LOT about, and I hope you'll contribute to our discussions as you can. (I'm a mom of two, as well, and my hubby was a youth minister when the boys were small. So I know you're busy!) :) Welcome, again…see you around THC!

I've been there-believing lies, sunk in a depression so deep it seemed impossible to climb out. And without God's faithful love and the truth of His word, I'd still be there. Thanks for sharing the hope of Jesus-and for joining The High Calling blogs network. We're glad to have you!

Great food for thought as we celebrate our country's freedom. What am I holding onto that I could find freedom from--if I truly gave it up, for God. Welcome to the High Calling network, by the way; we're really pleased to have you aboard!

Krista, How awesome to see you in the new member feeds at THC! I love that you're being so honest about the grief, depression and anxiety you felt after a devastating loss. I've been there-not about diabetes, but about other things. God is truly the strength and source of my life, and I couldn't have crawled out of that pit without Him. Thanks for your transparency. I can't wait to see your future posts! Let us know how we can help you grow your readership, okay? (I know you have a pro at your house-fistbump to the hubby!)

Carmen, you give great advice. My hubby and kids and I had to break the "eating out too much" habit a few years ago and it's one of the best things we ever did. I'm so glad you've joined The High Calling blogs network, too. :) I'm one of the welcome editors and look forward to getting to know you as you have time to participate.

Wow. I love this! Thanks for being willing to hug a smelly drunk in His name. You convicted and challenged me today. I work in refugee resettlement and our building houses ministries/outreaches to homeless folks, as well. I don't usually "see Jesus" in them--but I will more often now. :)
