Is Economic Crisis an End-Time Indicator? - 1 views

  • Mike, thanks for the thoughtful post. I have watched the events unfolding over the last few months with curiosity, dread, and a great deal of trepidation. I’m so glad that we know–whatever happens–that Christ WILL come and His perfect kingdom WILL be established. Welcome to the High Calling network. I’m a fellow Wordserve author (Greg is my agent), and I’m also one of the welcome editors. We’re really glad to have you in the community!

I'd love to get a masters' degree. And get a children's book published. I have a lot more, but I'll leave it at that. By the way, welcome to The High Calling. We're so glad you've joined our community and hope you find inspiration and encouragement. :) Like Reply

I think God is honored when we seek Him, even (or, maybe, ESPECIALLY) if we do so while being honest with our questions and doubts. I think you'll find a community of honest, excellence-seeking believers who aren't afraid to ask the hard questions (and encourage one another in the process) at High Calling Blogs. I'm glad you've joined the network and look forward to seeing you there!

These are some of my favorites, too. Zena, I'm one of the staff at THC and am really glad you've joined The High Calling network. I love C.S. Lewis, Les Mis, missions, and work in community relations. I think we would have great conversations over a cuppa tea. However, since I live in Texas and you're across the ocean, I'll look forward to seeing you around the network

I'll see you there--and as one of my friends used to say, we'll probably be surprised by some of the people who join us. :) I'm glad, btw, that you've joined our community at The High Calling. We're thrilled to have you aboard. It's a warm, encouraging, and thought-provoking place to spend time while waiting to be "transported." :)

Your retreat sounds wonderful. I'm with Liz, above. I miss the days of front porch swings and real, meaningful conversation. (A few of us are like-minded there!) I think so many people just partake of technology mindlessly, letting it consume them. It really irks me when someone lets a tweet or ring interrupt a deep (or even shallow conversation). BTW, welcome to the High Calling community--I think you'll find some kindred spirits there. I'm really glad you've joined and look forward to getting to "know" you better.
