  • Anne Hidalgo et Valérie Pécresse continuent lundi 21 décembre de se répondre par "tweet" interposé depuis que la première a diffusé vendredi sur son compte Twitter une photo de la seconde visiblement en train de somnoler lors d'une séance du conseil régional d'Ile-de-France.
  • Moins d'une heure plus tard, à 11h14, l'intéressée réagissait sur son compte en niant s'être assoupie. Elle accusait même la démarche de sa concurrente en écrivant : "Madame Hidalgo ne recule devant rien, même pas devant les images truquées !"
  • alérie Pécresse n'en démord pas. Elle poursuit la discussion ce lundi avec un "tweet" envoyé aux environs de 17h : "Le problème, c'est que Madame Anne Hidalgo s'est endormie sur ses idées..."

  • Le site de micro-blog est resté inaccessible un peu moins d'une heure vendredi matin, après un détournement de DNS. Une revendication d'une mystérieuse «cyber armée iranienne» est brièvement apparue.
  • «Les Etats-Unis pensent qu'ils contrôlent et gèrent Internet, mais ce n'est pas le cas, nous contrôlons et gérons Internet par notre puissance», expliquait un message dont plusieurs sites proposent des captures, qui se félicitait d'avoir placé le site «sous embargo».
  • Twitter avait déjà été victime d'une attaque cet été, qui aurait été lancée cette fois depuis l'Europe de l'Est. Cette fois, tous les regards se tournent vers l'Iran, alors que le réseau avait pris une place importance pour relayer les manifestations des opposants à la réélection de Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Les élections en Iran ont d'ailleurs été le sujet le plus populaire de l'année sur Twitter.

  • The easiest way to characterize the difference between a fan of a consumer business and one of a local institution or a nonprofit is by their degree of desired engagement.
  • The problem is that most local institutions—I’m singling out hospitals here for special attention—and nonprofits don’t do a very good job with their pages. They certainly don’t put as much care and feeding into those pages as their commercial counterparts do.
  • becoming a fan of a Facebook page is motivated by the expectation that the organization will use the page as a vehicle for keeping its fans up to date. Many hospitals, for example, host educational events for the community, but few hospitals take advantage of the “events” tab on fan pages to list those activities.

  • Populate the Info tab with all the information your fans may want to know about your organization. Take advantage of the Events feature to let your constituents know what’s going on with your institution. Monitor what people are posting to the wall and respond wherever it’s appropriate. Let people know you’re listening and care about what they’re saying. Photos and videos are terrific ways to connect with people, particularly if you’re introducing them to real people they might encounter in their interactions with your organization.
