U49325 Sun Runner Stirling Engine - ABRA Electronics Inc. - 0 views

  • The U49325 Sun Runner Stirling Engine is a solar-powered Stirling Engine which offers a dramatic demonstration of energy conversion.   This motor and its parabolic mirror can be attached to any conventional camera tripod. When properly aimed at the sun, the polished aluminum parabolic mirror focuses incoming solar energy on the heat cap of the engine, which is converted to rotary motion. Unit comes complete with motor, parabolic mirror, and wrenches. Standard camera tripod is not supplied. This engine is completely assembled and ready to run. Each unit is test run at the factory prior to shipping. Motor runs at 2,000 RPM and up. This engine can also run as a horizontal engine with an alcohol burner. Demonstrate this exciting method of harnessing the sun’s clean and renewable energy to your students.  Weight: 6.00 lbs Dimensions: Engine: 8.25 x 3 inches (L x W) Flywheel: 3.25 inchesParabolic Mirror: 18 inch diameterPlease note that this item is designed to demonstrate the operating principles of a Stirling engine for educational use and is not designed for power production.  It can potentially be coupled with a generator for producing very small amounts of electricity but is incapable of powering anything beyond a small light bulb or LED.

Feed43 : How It Works - 0 views

  •
Feed43 engine converts free-form HTML or XML documents to valid RSS feeds by extracting snippets of text or HTML by means of applying search patterns, and then joining these snippets together using output templates to form user-friendly content of feed's items. The principle of extracting specific data from source documents is also known as "HTML scraping".

gkaindl.com → software → arduino ethernet - 0 views

  • Arduino Ethernet is a collection of libraries I have written to use within the Arduino programming environment in conjunction with the Ethernet shield. While the individual libraries are downloaded within a single archive, they do not depend on each other (unless noted otherwise) and can be used independently. The libraries are published under the GPLv2 (or, at your discretion, any later version). Individual libraries EthernetBonjour | Documentation EthernetDHCP | Documentation EthernetDNS | Documentation Also, by popular demand, I've prepared a very simple demo sketch using DNS, DHCP and Bonjour together. Basically, it gets network configuration data via DHCP, then lets you resolve DNS names via the DNS server received from DHCP, all while announcing its DHCP-assigned IP address via link-local Bonjour — Basically a combination of examples from the individual libraries, which I also recommend to look at, as they contain lots of comments explaining how stuff works.

Xerox - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - 0 views

  • Xerox was founded in 1906 in Rochester as The Haloid Photographic Company,[8] which originally manufactured photographic paper and equipment. The company subsequently changed its name to Haloid Xerox in 1958 and then simply Xerox in 1961.[9] Xerography, a modern word meaning "dry writing" developed from two Greek roots, is the name of the process invented in 1938 and developed by the Haloid Company. The company came to prominence in 1959 with the introduction of the Xerox 914,[10] the first plain paper photocopier using the process of Electro-photography, (later changed to xerography) discovered by Chester Carlson, which he developed with John H. Dessauer.

NFC Antennas - 1 views

  • So NFC is just a method of communication between two devices at short distance. What makes the NFC antenna design simple or easy? If you know much about antennas, the first question you might ask is what is the operating frequency of NFC. It turns out that these devices operate around 13.56 MHz. The corresponding wavelength is 22 meters long - this means to get a nice half-wave dipole antenna (that radiates well) we would need a device about 11 meters in length.
  • he NFC antenna area may be limited to 3"x1" (or 7 cm * 2.5 cm). Hence, we are talking about fitting an antenna i

Ampere - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - 0 views

  • Ampere
  • The ampere (SI unit symbol: A), often shortened to amp, is the SI unit of electric current[1] (quantity symbol: I,i)[2] and is one of the seven[3] SI base units. It is named after André-Marie Ampère (1775–1836), French mathematician and physicist, considered the father of electrodynamics. Note that SI supports only the use of symbols and deprecates the use of any abbreviations for units.[4]

Coulomb - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - 0 views

  • Coulomb
  • The coulomb (symbol: C) is the SI derived unit of electric charge. It is defined as the charge transported by a steady current of one ampere in one second: One coulomb is also the amount of excess charge on the positive side of a capacitance of one farad charged to a potential difference of one volt:
