Khan academy has free videos on Youtube on a variety of anatomy and physiology subjects and pathophysiology. It's a great way to review the basics with the nursing students with high quality videos/lectures from Khan academy. It's free and I get a lot of positive feedback from the students.

Loretta-Thanks for the reminder about using Khan Academy videos in nursing courses and that they are free. I have to admit I forgot about this site. I too often use videos from You Tube (Nurse Sarah) to help students reinforce their learning. Thanks-Pat

Excellent FREE site for math and sciences. All grade levels. Short video clips using a blackboard with verbal direction. Great depth of content available. Would be helpful to post on course site, saving you from creating the videos.

Thank you for sharing this link. I just heard about these free videos yesterday and was quite impressed and curious about them. I'd like to find a similar great resource for my discipline of accounting.

Khanacademy has video lectures for each topic, and lots of information videos for some other majors also.

Probably a site most have heard of before, but well worth the look if you haven't. Basically, it's one man who sits at his computer with a slate and narrates videos explaining an idea/technique as demonstrated on a simple whiteboard. He's recorded a large compilation of these videos from a variety of fields in math and science. "The Khan Academy is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) with the mission of providing a world-class education to anyone, anywhere. Despite being the work of one man, Salman Khan, this 2100+ video library is the most-used educational video resource as measured by YouTube video views per day and unique users per month."

Khan Academy has great ready made videos for A&P students needing additional support in their studies. I highly recommend their content and videos.

The blame for dishonesty and cheating is on the educational system's emphasis on testing well and achieving high grades.

Discussion boards. Google documents. YouTube videos. TED Talks. Khan Academy. These are just a few of the many resources some of us have used in our ever-growing arsenal of techie tools. We want to stay on the cutting edge. The Sloan Consortium (now Online Learning Consortium) predicts this trend toward an increased usage of technology will continue into the foreseeable future.

The particular workshop recording that interests me is the one on using peer review options for online teaching. This is something I'm trying to incorporate more of, and it was helpful to hear about how other teachers incorporate it into their courses!
