Muslims have made valuable contributions to the United States, but sadly they stay in the news for mostly bad reasons. Right now, the world is more familiar with their negative side. Currently she resides in New York and has made a valuable display of her skills in films and videos. She received the Dorothy and Lillan Gish Prize in the year 2006. She also received the artist of the decade award in the year 2010. Neshat has earned great respect for herself due to her artistic skills.

The young girl, by the name of Malala, who the Taliban wanted to have dead has not only survived, but is now capable of walking. She is one of the survivors and there are not many like her who have been able to live through such vicious attacks. According to the authorities, 15-year-old Malala's ordeal is not over yet because she will have to be readmitted to the hospital in late January for cranial reconstructive surgery. Malala left the hospital just a couple of days after the vicious gunmen attacked a van in the Pakistani Swabi District around an hour away from Islamabad. The gunmen attacked around six women and a man that worked in the children's community center. Around five teachers were killed along with two other health care workers in the area.

Rape is something that is a huge problem in developing countries like Pakistan and India because the government is weak. The laws are not stringent enough in these countries and no one does anything to stop the madness. It seems like the police and politicians are bribed or they are just not paying attention to this major problem. There are thousands of women that are victims of rape each year. The thing that one must understand is that these countries are poor countries. The women that are targeted do not have any choice. They may not have the means to hire a lawyer or may try to conceal the fact that they have been raped.

In Burma's Rakhine province, more than 20,000 Muslims have been killed, tortured and displaced by the extremist Buddhist. For many years, the worst killing has been going on in Burma. The violence of that place is responsible for the Muslim killing over there. In a day, the Burmese people kill 30 to 70 innocent Muslims without having a reason. The Burmese burn the living beings, their houses and destroy their whole families. According to a report, around 2,500 houses in Burma have been burnt down.
