The Pakistani Taliban has once again displayed their inhumane and horrendous side, the persuasive atmosphere of fear and grief is prevailing in Pakistan due to the recent incident. The Pakistani Taliban kidnapped 23 Levis soldiers after an attack on the Levis posts by militants in the Frontier Region Peshawar, police said. On December 27, around 30 men well equipped with advanced weapons reached Koi Hassankhel and Jani Kor in two vehicles. The areas are located in the Frontier province of Pakistan which is considered the hub of the Taliban.

''Agence France Presse'' news agency said that the series "Citizen Khan" shows a Muslim family from a Pakistani origin in the context of comedy, created and directed by a Pakistani origin British Muslim called "Adil Ray" and who also performs the role of the father of the Muslim family in the series. ''Citizen Khan'' series which consists of seven episodes of the family consisting of a Muslim father, a Muslim mother, two Muslim daughters and a son, of a funny Pakistani origin, raised around two hundred complaints from different Muslim families. According to the Guardian British news, Viewers complained that the show was offensive and there have been comparisons with the controversial 1970s comedy Mind Your Language.

The capital of the troubled province of Balochistan, Quetta, was hit by three separate bomb blasts, leaving over 100 people dead. While hospitals in the city cope with hundreds of people who were injured in the devastating blasts, funeral prayers for the deceased were carried out today. KARACHI: India has decided to issue a visa to Pakistani batting legend Javed Miandad. The decision of India's External Affairs Ministry to issue the visa was protested by the Congress and Shiv Sena. Miandad will travel to New Delhi where he will see the last match of the three ODI series against Pakistan and India on January 6. According to the Indian External Affairs Ministry, Miandad was being issued the visa because he was a high ranking official of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

London: Pakistani teenage activist Malala Yousafzai, who was shot in the head by the Taliban for advocating education for girls, will undergo cranial reconstructive surgery within weeks as part of her long-term recovery, doctors treating her at a United Kingdom hospital have said.

Malala left the hospital just a couple of days after the vicious gunmen attacked a van in the Pakistani Swabi District around an hour away from Islamabad. The gunmen attacked around six women and a man that worked in the children's community center. Around five teachers were killed along with two other health care workers in the area.
