The Pakistan Army: Ensuring a Safer Pakistan and a Safer World - 0 views

  •
The Pakistani army is an influential organ of the Pakistani government and one that has played a vital role in ensuring national security since the country's independence in 1947. Defense in Pakistan has always been allocated a significant portion of the budget - a sum much higher than that allotted to education and healthcare. Since the lower strata of the Pakistani army largely consists of people who belong to uneducated rural families, the Pakistani army has developed world renowned training programs that not only teach soldiers the art of warfare but basic language, communication, mathematics, science and technical skills. As a result of this rigorous training, Pakistan's infantry is regarded is amongst the best trained in the world. The Pakistan Army came first in the Cambrian Patrol Exercise held in Wales in which 750 soldiers from various countries participated in arguably the most difficult military exercises ever devised.

Intolerant Society - 0 views

  •
We are becoming an intolerant society; Pakistan's inception was based on the Islamic principles and the ideology was to develop a society that promotes Islamic principles. But with the passage of time we have grown to be much different. The media of Pakistan has rendered various services to build the minds of people to overcome the evil mindsets. The killing of human beings is prohibited in Islam and still many extremist Muslim mindsets believe that they can take the law into their own hands. Over the years, this frustration has shot up and the killing in the name of religion has become part of life in Pakistan. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah founded Pakistan and set some unprecedented examples, so the coming generations would follow the rules and regulation on which Pakistan's foundation is based.

Why Is Rape A Big Problem In India and Pakistan? - 0 views

  •
Rape is something that is a huge problem in developing countries like Pakistan and India because the government is weak. The laws are not stringent enough in these countries and no one does anything to stop the madness. It seems like the police and politicians are bribed or they are just not paying attention to this major problem. There are thousands of women that are victims of rape each year. The thing that one must understand is that these countries are poor countries. The women that are targeted do not have any choice. They may not have the means to hire a lawyer or may try to conceal the fact that they have been raped.

  •
Out of nowhere, Tahir-ul-Qadri appears to be Pakistan's latest political force-to-be-reckoned with. An Islamic scholar based in Canada, Qadri had made the decision to move out of Pakistan years ago. His sporadic return to Pakistan in December and his entry into local politics has left an-already confused political scenario in the country baffled. Rallying under the slogan "save the state, not your politics," Qadri has made a number of scathing remarks about the current government, demanding on several occasions that it resign immediately. He has threatened to engage in a long march until the government resigns and elections are held under an interim government consisting of honest people. Most would not have taken Qadri seriously so soon after hi

  •
The majority of the world's billion-odd Muslims are Sunnis. Approximately 10 to 15 percent of all Muslims follow the Shiite branch (pronounced Shiite, Shiites or Shia). Beyond that, it gets slightly complicated. Both of them live in different parts of the world.
